Good food, especially the tea rolls, excellent selection of teas and other beverages, and great service. A treasure in downtown Amherst. Good place for a conversation - you will never feel rushed.

Many vegan options which was good for my daughter. Food was good, only complaint was the chicken texture was that of a frozen party. All in all would go back!!

My favorite birthday spot! I celebrated my special day there with some friends. The attention was great, the spring rolls and tea are delicious, you can ask for more too at no cost. Then the salads are so good and big. We had a lovely time, they let me bring a mini cake too. Cheers!

Fresh side is hands down the best Asian restaurant in the Amherst area. The food is of exceptionally quality. Do not pass on the udon or tea rolls.

The tea rolls slap. Would recommend

We got the rib rice and spicy bean rice for lunch. The rib rice had some vegetables on the side that were super salty, I could barely eat them. When I tried the ribs, they tasted like they’d been over-peppered and also high in salt. It wasn’t bearable to eat so I didn’t bother eating it. The waitress didn’t ask how the food was and when I said I didn’t want the leftovers packaged, she wasn’t concerned about it. The spicy bean rice was really salty and not flavorful. The food was really not good and I’m disappointed because I’ve wanted to try it for a long time but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee were delicious but not worth going back for.

I really want to like this place, so I may be being a bit generous with 3 stars. The times I went the food was just okay. The service was still wonderful and place clean, even the prices felt fine. Out of the food available in Amherst however, it is lacking.

The miso dressing for the salad is the best salad dressing I have ever had. The tea rolls are unique and delicious. The noodle dishes are staples and phenomenal, but there are also other great options on the menu too if you are not in the mood for noodles (soup, rice, ribs, etc). One of the best restaurants Amherst has to offer!

Was suggested to me by a friend and didn't know what to expect going in. Was very pleasantly surprised with the great atmosphere. When I my food arrived it may have just been one of the most delicious things that I had tasted that month! Highly recommended.

Food is under seasoned. Synonymous with their name, “Fresh Side” everything is, as one would require fresh. Definitely worth noting you don’t feel too disgusting full after. However, high prices and meager service berates the good intentions. I vaguely grasp “pan Asian” as a description in the food preparation. The flair that makes Asian cooking unique is honestly non-existent. It’s been swifter’d away into something bland. Healthy is a culprit criminal to rob oneself of tingling your taste buds.

I've been coming here for years, one of my favorite spots in Amherst. The staff are consistently warm and helpful, the food is consistently delicious and crave worthy. This is definitely a gem. Would recommend to anyone new to the area. Outdoor seating is available, and honestly the pricing is very affordable. Vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options for anyone in need. Lovely spot, check it out for your own sake.

Tea was the highlight of the meal. The food I had was good, but nothing special. A definite pro is that when they say shiitake they do use them and you can see and taste it!

Best coconut curry soup ever! Sometime service is funky but food and price make up for it. Really good. Have good gluten free and vegan options.

100% recommend. Cute cafe/eatery with an exciting variety of coffee and tea, fresh salads w/ or w/o protein, and Asian style dishes. Great prices! Service is fast and pleasant, and they played the most quaint mix of eighties and nineties ballads while I was there.

Fresh Side - with its sidewalk awning to provide cooling shade on a summer lunch al freso - Perfect! The service was friendly and unrushed - not a "fast food" option, nor did I want that. My miso based soup and a book to read ... nourishment and relaxation!

Awesome, Asian inspired fopd at a very reasonable price. Go on a midweek late afternoon and you won't have any problems finding seating. Highly recommended!

People are nice and it has a friendly atmosphere. Food is delicious and relatively cheap. I like to go again and try its soups.

This is my favorite restaurant! My favorite main dishes are the coconut soup, Thai basil noodles, and the 8-treasure rice. For tea rolls, I recommend the Vietnamese and the basil. Every interesting tea I've had there has also been delicious!

Peanut noodle salad with chicken is my go to meal. I like the tea rolls as well or the pad thai. I am a regular and the owner knows me by name and knows what I like. Locally owned and operated. You can find her behind the counter 5 days a week ensuring the quality of the food and service.

Most of the dishes are nice. My favourite is the beef bowl. Omelet and coconut curry rice are also impressive. The tea rolls are somewhat lack of flavors to me.

Friendly staff and delicious food! The last page of their menu is half gluten free options and half vegan options. As a vegan, I'm always overwhelmed by my options here, and I've loved every meal I've tried here! I definitely recommend the vegan pad thai.
